Which niches work best for clipping?
Music, podcasts, streamers, sports, gaming, and creator-led consumer brands clip best, because they produce repeatable, emotionally dense moments that work out of context. The test for any niche: does a 20-second moment from your content make sense, and make someone feel something, without the rest of it?
Why these niches win
Music is endlessly re-cuttable: one chorus supports hundreds of edits. Podcasts and interviews produce takes and stories that stand alone. Streams generate hours of raw moments daily. Sports has built-in highlights. In each case the clip carries its own hook, which is what the algorithm rewards. Industry-wide, the largest published clipping results are music campaigns for exactly this reason.
Harder niches that still work
B2B, SaaS, and professional services clip well when a founder or expert talks on camera: opinion, teardown, and story formats travel even in dry industries. Ecommerce works through UGC-style product moments. What doesn't work: brands with no footage and no willingness to create any, and niches where platforms restrict the content itself.
